Know when a link can pay us.
Retailer and affiliate links
The retailer links currently published on our Field Gear page are ordinary links. Steel & Grit receives no commission from those links.
When a link can earn us a commission, we label it “Affiliate link” beside the link and place an explanation in the same section. A retailer mention does not mean the retailer sponsors this site or endorses our toolkit.
Sponsored content
No sponsored placements are currently published. If a company pays for a placement, provides a free product for coverage or otherwise provides something of value, the relevant content will identify that relationship clearly.
Our own products
The Superintendent Toolkit is our own paid product. Links to its Gumroad checkout are sales links for Steel & Grit, rather than third-party product reviews.
Recommendations and experience
Our guides explain comparison criteria and field routines. They do not claim hands-on testing of every product sold by the retailers linked here. Product-specific specifications, prices and availability should be confirmed on the retailer's current page.
